National Adoption Month Feature: New Day Foster Home

Not everyone has the ability or desire to adopt. So during National Adoption Month I'm going to feature as many organizations as possible that I feel are fighting hard for the fatherless. New Day Foster Home is one such organization, and it happens to be the one Greg and I are committed to supporting. The children they care for are not only orphans, but are critically ill. These children are sent from their "home" orphanages to live at New Day because they need care that the orphanage cannot provide. I hope you will take the time to watch this video about New Day and what they're doing. It isn't short, but speaks volumes about their work. If you feel lead to sponsor a child or to donate to a specific financial need, please visit http://www.newdaycreations.com/foster/help/howto.htm

Journey of Hope Program Guangxi, China with The Barker Adoption Foundation

I am so excited to have the opportunity to advocate for five newly available children in China. I hope you'll take the time to check out the information I've posted, and contact The Barker Adoption Foundation if you or someone you know would like additional information. If you are new to adoption, please consider contacting Barker for info on the programs they have available, and how you can get started.

The Barker Foundation recently participated in a Journey of Hope program in Guangxi, China. This program allowed Barker representatives to meet many special needs children from four different orphanages in Guangxi in the hopes that they will be able to find families for them. Barker has been assigned the files of twelve children through this program - five of which Barker currently has the files for and six more for which they expect the files to come soon (one file is pending with a family and is not listed here).

Please take a moment to look at the descriptions of the first five children who can be found in the separate pages on this blog. These children are Yang Qian, Qi Zuo, Jing Gang, Xin Wei, and Chen Jun.

If you or anyone you know might be interested in one of these children, please contact Betty at bbetz@barkerfoundation.org or Tina at tji@barkerfoundation.org for more information.
